County Librarian. The role of County Librarian is a professionalsenior
management position in South Dublin County Council, reporting to
theDirector of Service. They are responsible for the development of an
expandinglibrary service and have responsibility for the development

The County
Librarian will be expected to contribute to the development and
implementationof forward thinking strategies in Economic, Enterprise
and Tourism Developmentand to work closely with other staff and teams
to deliver high quality libraryand arts services to the public. The
successful candidate will:
Hold a degree (level 8 on the Irish National
Framework of
_QUALIFICATIONS_) in the area of Library and Information Studies

Have satisfactory experience of library work,including satisfactory
